Bio on Ian Mobsby

Ian Mobsby is an Anglican/Episcopal priest-missioner currently licensed in the Diocese of London to the Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary in the Church of England, with over twenty years’ experience researching and working with new forms of Church. He is a founder member of two small missional communities, including the Moot Community in central London. He is also an Associate Missioner of the Archbishop’s Fresh Expressions team, a member of the Church of England’s College of Evangelists and a national selector for Pioneer Ministry. As a writer and teacher Ian lectures extensively in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. As an enthusiast of new monasticism in the UK, he is a member of the Church of England’s Advisory Council for Religious Communities and Diocesan Bishops, assisting the Church at a national level to nurture and develop small missional communities. Ian has written a number of books on the areas of Trintarian theology and ecclesiology, fresh expressions, missiology and New Monasticism. For further information click here.
